Importing and Exporting Forms

You can share forms between instances of EX FormFlow associated with your campus as well as other FormFlow users.

Example

Import a Form

To import a form, you must have the same version of FormFlow or higher. For example, EX FormFlow version 6.3.5 forms cannot be imported in to EX FormFlow version 6.3.1.

1.         Log in to the campus portal as an administrator and access EX FormFlow - Forms.

2.         Click Manage Forms. The Manage Forms page appears.

3.         Click Choose file. The Open window appears.

4.         Locate and select the form you want to import.

Forms are exported in the CFPROJ format.

5.         Click Open. The Open window closes.

6.         Click Import. The file is imported showing the date and time it was imported into EX FormFlow - Forms.

7.         Update and customize the form as needed.

Depending on how the form is set up, you may need to set up a database connection, stored procedures, and mapped statements. Check the Tools options carefully.

Export a Form

1.         Log in to the campus portal as an administrator and access EX FormFlow - Forms.

2.         Click Manage Forms. The Manage Forms page appears.

3.         Click the Export button for the form to be exported.

4.         Depending on your browser's download settings, you can browse and save the exported file to a specific location or the file is automatically exported to your local computer (commonly the Downloads folder).

If the form builder importing your form is outside your campus or not using an instance of EX FormFlow within the same server environment, the database connection, stored procedures, mapped statements, payment profiles, data validations and sources, etc. associated with your form may need to be recreated. The form builder importing your form will need to check the Tools options carefully.
